Waiting Out The Bugs

I caught on early in the technology world not to buy something hot and new off the shelves. There is always some kind of learning curve for the designers and manufactures and they tweak their product after they get enough feedback from users. Yes, I know testers exist, but this is still a small number of people compared to those who buy the product because they believe it is ready and won't be full of need tweaks.
I want to be sure what I buy works and isn't going to give me trouble to get it to work. Another advantage to waiting is the price goes down for a better working product. How can you loose.
I have never had to deal with the faults of a new technological product like so many because I wait for the bugs to be fixed first.
